Seller Description

For sale is a vintage Warren G. Harding Presidential Token from the popular Shell Oil 'Presidents of the United States' game issued in the late 1960s and early 1970s. This specific token is the more desirable 'Facts on the Back' version, featuring biographical information about the 29th President. Obverse: Features a portrait of Warren Harding with the inscription 'Warren Harding, 29th President of the United States, 1921-1923'. Reverse: Contains interesting historical facts, noting him as the first newspaper publisher elected to the presidency and his slogan 'Back to Normalcy'. Condition: Extremely Fine / About Uncirculated. The token retains much of its original brassy luster with some minor natural toning. It comes protected in a 2x2 cardboard coin holder (as shown). This is a fantastic addition for collectors of presidential memorabilia, Shell Oil gas station premiums, or exonumia. SKU: p009.
