Why This Card Matters
Trey Yesavage was Toronto's **first-round pick, 20th overall, in the 2024 draft** out of East Carolina, signing for **$4.175 million** — and he went from that draft to the World Series in fourteen months. He struck out **nine in his major-league debut on September 15, 2025**, a Blue Jays record for a debut, then in **ALDS Game 2 on October 5 he threw 5⅓ hitless innings with 11 strikeouts against the Yankees** — a franchise postseason single-game record, breaking a mark shared by Dave Stieb, David Price and Juan Guzmán. Three weeks later, in **World Series Game 5, he struck out 12 Dodgers over seven innings — a World Series record for a rookie**. His 39 strikeouts across the 2025 postseason are a rookie record too. This is his base **rookie card** in 2026 Topps Heritage, the set built on the **1977 Topps design**.

| Condition | Raw / ungraded. Near Mint or better unless noted. Please review the front and back scans — they show the exact card you will receive, including centering, corners, edges and surface. Centering measured against the outer black rule of the photo box, which is symmetric left to right: **47/53 left-to-right**. **Vertical centering is not measurable on this design and I will not estimate it.** The 1977 layout places a header band above the photo frame — the frame sits 393 px from the top against 70 px from the bottom — so there is no mirrored reference. That is the design, not the cut. All four corners are sharp, with a single tiny tan fibre ding at the upper-left tip. Edges are clean and the surface is clean with no scuffs. |

Set, Short-Print Check & Parallel Note
2026 Topps Heritage rebuilds the **1977 Topps design**. This is the **base paper card** — standard matte stock with visible fibre, not the Chrome parallel. The **RC shield is present** at the top right. **Not serial numbered**, verified on all four edges of both sides. Back code CODE#CMP127717. **On the short-print question, which needed real checking this year.** 2026 Heritage broke with convention: instead of putting its short prints in a block at #401-500, it **scatters roughly 100 SPs throughout #1-400**. So card-number range alone is not a safe test in this product. Going to the raw checklist: **#237, #242, #248, #251 and #252 all carry SP flags — and #245 does not.** This is confirmed base.
