Why This Card Matters
Cristopher Polanco signed with Toronto out of Monte Plata in the Dominican Republic during the January 2025 international period for **$2,297,500** — the club's headline signing of that class and one of the larger international investments of the Ross Atkins era. MLB Pipeline ranked him **No. 22 in the 2025 international class** and one of only seven players in it with a 60-grade hit tool. Born in January 2008, he is still in the Dominican Summer League. This is the **chrome** version of his 2026 Bowman prospect card.

| Condition | Raw / ungraded. Near Mint or better unless noted. Please review the front and back scans — they show the exact card you will receive, including centering, corners, edges and surface. **Full-bleed chrome — no border to measure against.** Against the internal blue octagon frame the card reads about **50/50 left-to-right** and **48/52 top-to-bottom**, a 10 px difference of roughly 0.017 inch. Corners are sharp, and the bright chrome rim along the top and bottom edges is normal exposed foil rather than whitening damage. Honest surface note: a couple of faint near-vertical lines are visible in the left third of the front under a high-pass filter — most likely handling marks on the chrome coating, and worth a naked-eye check. |

Base Chrome, and a Spelling Note
This is the **chrome** prospect card. The prefix is the tell: **BCP-** is chrome stock, while the paper version of the same subject uses **BP-**. On the parallel question: the back prints **no parallel word** beneath the set stamp, which is where Bowman Chrome names its refractors, and magnified inspection with saturation boosted showed no prismatic rainbow banding. Being straight about the limit — a flatbed scan flattens refractor sheen, so this is a high-confidence call rather than a certainty. Unnumbered — all four edges of both sides checked at magnification. No RC shield, correctly: prospect cards are issued before a player's MLB debut and do not carry the rookie designation. One naming point worth knowing when you search for comps: his first name is correctly spelled **Cristopher** — no "h" after the C — per MLB.com, MiLB.com and Baseball America. A number of outlets write "Christopher", so searches under both spellings return different results. Back code 135302, printed without the usual CMP letters.
