Will Wagner is the son of **Hall of Famer Billy Wagner**, elected to Cooperstown in **2025 with 82.5% of the vote** in his final year on the ballot after a career of 422 saves and a 2.31 ERA. Will took the long road: an **18th-round pick out of Liberty University in 2021**, he came to Toronto from Houston in the **July 2024 Yusei Kikuchi trade** and debuted that August 12 with a **three-hit game** against the Angels, hitting **.305 over his 24-game rookie look**. This is his base **rookie card** in 2025 Topps Heritage, the set built on the **1976 Topps design**.

Centering measured against the white outer border running to the black-and-red picture frame, a symmetric rectangle: **53/47 left-to-right and 44/56 top-to-bottom**. Corners are reasonably sharp with the normal Heritage rough-cut fuzz. There are light paper-fibre flecks in the white border — that is a **characteristic of the stock**, which is deliberately rough on this product, rather than handling damage. The surface is clean. The back is printed horizontally. |

2025 Topps Heritage rebuilds the **1976 Topps design** on rough, uncoated stock. This is the **base paper card** — no foil, no refractor, no coloured border, no chrome. The **RC shield is present** at the top left. **Not serial numbered**, verified on all four edges of both sides. **Not a short print, and this one was explicitly checked:** 2025 Heritage runs 500 cards with **#1-400 regular and #401-500 the short prints**. At #35 this is comfortably a regular base number. The back code reads **CODE#CMP** followed by a digit string that does not fully resolve — the Heritage back prints brown ink on a green halftone field and at 600 dpi the glyphs are at the resolution limit. Best read is 0187332. Flagged as approximate rather than guessed at.
