**Ignacio "Nacho" Alvarez Jr.** was Atlanta's **fifth-round pick, 155th overall, in 2022** out of Riverside City College, signing over slot for **$497,500**. He climbed to **No. 3 in the Braves' organisational rankings**, built on a genuinely unusual minor league approach: **66 walks against 87 strikeouts and a .395 on-base percentage in 501 plate appearances at High-A in 2023**, then a 12.8% walk rate at Triple-A the following year. **Where he actually is in 2026, stated plainly:** he was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on March 1 and has **not appeared in a major league game this season**, hitting .236 with a .337 on-base percentage across 37 games at Gwinnett before landing on the injured list. He spent the Arizona Fall League working out as a **catcher** to add a position, with Austin Riley ahead of him at third.

Paper, Not Chrome — and Essentially Dead Centred

**This is the paper base card.** The Chrome parallel of #145 is a different card on coated chrome stock, and it is listed separately in this batch if you want both. On paper the 1976 Heritage stock is uncoated and shows visible fibre; the Chrome version is smooth, coated and mirror-finished. **Centering: 49/51 left-to-right, 51/49 top-to-bottom** — essentially dead centred, measured against the printed orange/black photo-frame panel. **Rookie Card shield present**, inside the photo at the upper left. As with his other 2025 issues, the shield is legitimate but he is no longer rookie-eligible. **Not a variation:** #145 is below the #401–500 short-print range and appears on none of 2025 Heritage's four variation lists. Confirmed on the card itself — no "IMAGE" or "NICKNAME" text under the card number on the back, and the back's bat runs along the **top** with the ball and card number at top right, which is base orientation rather than the Flipped Bat variation.
