Why This Card Matters
George Springer was the **2017 World Series MVP** with Houston, homering **five times in that series** to tie the all-time record while also setting World Series records with eight extra-base hits and 29 total bases. He signed with Toronto in January 2021 on a **six-year, $150 million contract** — the largest in Blue Jays history at the time, passing Vernon Wells. A **four-time All-Star**, he hit **.309 with 32 home runs and a .959 OPS in 2025**, finishing seventh in AL MVP voting and taking a Silver Slugger as Toronto won the **American League pennant**. Please review the front and back scans — they show the exact card you will receive, including centering, corners, edges and surface. **Centering cannot be measured on this card and I am not going to estimate it.** The design is **full-bleed** — verified numerically, with non-zero saturation running from column 76 to 1570 and row 76 to 2162, i.e. artwork carrying colour to all four cut edges. There is no border or symmetric frame to measure against. Corners are sharp. There is light white flecking along the top edge — minor edge silvering, normal on chromium stock. The surface is clean. For completeness, so that nothing visible in the image goes unexplained: a thin light line appears in the upper portion of the **scan**. The owner has inspected the card directly and **can find no corresponding mark on the card itself**, so it is a scanning artifact rather than a surface scratch. |

This is the **base** Cosmic Chrome — plain chromium with no parallel treatment. Three checks: no refractor diffraction anywhere at 300% with saturation boosted; no colour tint; and no overlay pattern. That last one matters in this product specifically, because Cosmic Chrome's **unnumbered** patterned parallels — **Nucleus** and **White Hole** — are identified by texture rather than colour, and neither texture is present. The numbered tiers run /199 down to /5 plus a 1/1, and **there is no serial anywhere**, verified on all four edges of both sides. **Not a short print** — the base set is 200 cards with no SP tier.
