Why the Scan Looks Dark — and Why the Card Is Not Damaged

**Read this before judging the scan.** Silver Portrait is printed on **silver foilboard**, and a flatbed scanner handles a mirror surface badly: the silver reflects the scanner lamp *away* from the sensor, so every area that is cream on the base card renders as a dark metallic green-black, while the ornate frame filigree inverts to bright white. The bottom "BROOKLYN, NEW YORK." wordmark reads dark-on-dark for the same reason. **In hand the card is a bright silver foil card.** The scan is an artifact of the medium, not a picture of a dull or damaged card. For the same reason, apparent flecking and a faint diagonal line in the upper-left field of the scan are **scanner artifacts**. The card was inspected in hand and is **not damaged**. It is listed accordingly. Verified **Silver Portrait**: it is a 2025 A&G full-size base parallel, roughly 1:2 hobby, and **unnumbered** — there is no serial numbering on any edge of either side, which is correct for this parallel. Two independent confirmations: the card is full-size 2.5″ × 3.5″, which rules out the mini-only Black Border parallel, and there is no gold or orange filigree foil frame, which rules out the Foil Filagree family.
