Refractor Confirmed From the Back — Not a Guess

**This is genuinely confirmed, not assumed, and the method is worth explaining.** A flatbed scanner flattens a refractor's rainbow burst into ordinary chrome sheen, so the *front* of a refractor and the front of a base chrome card look nearly identical in a scan. Most listings have to take the seller's word for it. **The back settles it: it prints the word "REFRACTOR" directly above the card number.** A base 2024 Topps Chrome card prints only "CHROME" in that spot — and there is a base 2025 Topps Chrome card in this same batch that does exactly that, giving an internal control. **Unnumbered, and that is correct**: the plain 2024 Topps Chrome Refractor carries no serial. All four edges of both sides checked: none. The coloured refractors are the numbered ones. **Not a short print:** 2024 Topps Chrome base runs #1–300, and neither the 20-card SP image-variation list nor the 5-card SSP list includes Albies. Centering against the blue rounded-rectangle inner frame: **42/58 left-to-right, 57/43 top-to-bottom** — treat these as roughly ±3, since there was no second 2024 Topps Chrome card available to cross-validate that the frame is centred by design.
