Unnumbered by Design — and Which Purple This Is

**This parallel is unnumbered, and that is correct rather than an omission.** The 2022 Topps Chrome **Update** Purple Refractor is the one colour in the product that carries no serial — it falls roughly one per hobby pack. Every other colour is numbered: Refractor /299, Aqua /250, Blue /199, X-Fractor /99, Green /75, Gold /50, Red /25, SuperFractor 1/1. All four edges of both sides were checked at magnification: **no serial, verified.** **One thing to know before you buy, because buyers confuse them:** the 2022 Topps Chrome **flagship** Purple Refractor is a *different card* and **is** serial numbered. This is the **Update Series** card — note the **USC** prefix on the card number. Solid purple border with the Chrome starburst pattern band top and bottom, refractor sheen through the photo, glossy chrome back. **Rookie Card shield present.** Centering, measured against the purple border width from the card edge to the inner white/red frame rule: **46/54 left-to-right, 35/65 top-to-bottom.** The top and bottom borders are wider than the sides *by design* — confirmed by cross-checking the same axis totals against the other Update purple refractor in this batch — but the 35/65 is a genuine vertical shift and it is quoted rather than rounded off.
