Goldschmidt was an 8th-round pick out of Texas State in 2009 who hit his first major league home run on August 2, 2011, as the card back records. By the time this card was printed he had reached 1,311 games with 1,395 hits, 249 home runs and a .293 average, and he would win the National League MVP the following year. The 1986 Topps Chrome Silver Pack was a retail-promo insert, and the Mojo Refractor is its chromium pattern version.
