Why This Card Matters

Stroman was Toronto's first-round pick in 2012 and threw more than 200 innings in both 2016 and 2017 at 5-foot-8, one of the shortest starting pitchers in the majors and one of the most durable; he won a Gold Glove in 2017. What makes THIS copy different from the ordinary #392 is the photograph: Topps seeded a small number of image variations through 2018 Series 2, and on Stroman's card the variation shows him from behind instead of on the mound.
