The back of this card catches Millwood at the exact moment he stopped being a nobody. Bowman puts it bluntly: he was an unknown with a 20-31 career record at Double-A and below when he soared to Triple-A Richmond, going 7-0 and taking the team’s Pitcher of the Year award, then to Atlanta at 5-3 — and he blanked the Phillies on two hits over eight innings on 9/23. His opponents hit .178 at Richmond. The scouting line calls him a big horse who seems to add fire to his fastball on an annual basis, with an outstanding slider. Drafted by the Braves in the 11th round in June 1993. The Up Close note is that he has a Looney Tunes Martian tattoo on his leg.

It is boilerplate on every card in the set and this is not an autographed card.
