Why This Card Matters
This is the card of the trade that mattered. The back lists him as acquired 4-1-91, and 1991 was the year Nixon stole 72 bases for the worst-to-first Braves. The stats printed here are from just before that: a 1990 season with Montreal of 119 games and 50 stolen bases, against career totals of 625 games, 260 hits and 192 stolen bases. The monthly scoreboard grid on the back tracks his 1990 stolen bases month by month — four in April, eight in May, fifteen in June, six in July, eight in August, nine in September. He was a Yankees first-round special-phase pick in June 1979.

| Condition | Raw, ungraded, and honestly described. Centering is clearly off left to right — the blue frame sits noticeably closer to the left edge, roughly 35/65 — and slightly bottom-heavy at about 55/45. The borders show a cream/ivory cast with light toning, heaviest along the top-left, typical of the stock and its age. Corners are square but the paper fibres are slightly fuzzy at all four tips; no rounding and no dings. No creases. The back shows a couple of faint surface specks in the stat panel. |

Standard Cardboard — Not Tiffany, Not Signed
1991 Topps Traded came in two finishes: the standard cardboard set and a glossy Tiffany factory set of far smaller production. This is the standard card. It is also unsigned — worth stating because signed #84Ts are common on the market and trade at ten to fifteen times this card.
