Why This Card Matters
Lloyd Moseby was the **second overall pick of the 1978 draft** and spent a decade in centre field for Toronto, 1980 through 1989. His best year was **1983: .315 with 18 home runs, 81 RBI, 27 stolen bases and a Silver Slugger**, and he added a 1986 All-Star selection and a **.282, 26-homer, 39-steal season in 1987**. He remains the **franchise leader in stolen bases** and was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018. This is his base card in the 1988 Donruss set.

Centering measured off the symmetric white photo frame runs about **54/46 left-to-right and 50/50 top-to-bottom** — slightly left-heavy, essentially perfect vertically. Corners are all reasonably sharp, with small white flecks at the bottom-left and bottom-right tips. Honest note on the edges: **light white chipping along the black border areas, most visible along the top and left** — that is characteristic of black-bordered 1980s stock and it does show here. The surface is clean with no creases, gloss loss or print defects, and the light-blue back is clean with sharp corners. |

1988 Donruss is the black-bordered 660-card base set, printed by Leaf, Inc. — the back carries the "© 1987 LEAF, INC. / Printed in USA" line. **No parallels exist in this set**, so base-versus-parallel is not a question here. One distinction that does matter to collectors: the English-only back and the "Printed in USA" line confirm this is the **American Donruss issue, not the Canadian Leaf version**, which used bilingual backs and is a separate card.
