Jamie Moyer went 12-15 with 147 strikeouts in 201 innings for the Cubs in 1987, ranking second on the club in both wins and strikeouts, after a 16.2-inning scoreless streak in August 1986 earned him a promotion to Iowa. The Cubs took him in the sixth round of the June 1984 draft out of St. Joseph's, and he had thrown three straight no-hitters in high school. Moyer went on to pitch 25 major league seasons and win 269 games, still starting at age 49 in 2012, which makes this 1988 Donruss card number 169 one of his earliest issues.
