This is the shared rookie card of three Cincinnati Reds prospects from the 1981 Topps set: right-handed pitcher Bruce Berenyi, born August 21, 1954 in Bryan, Ohio; pitcher Geoff Combe out of Melrose, Massachusetts; and switch-hitting outfielder Paul Householder, born September 4, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio. Berenyi went on to start for the Reds and later the Mets, and Householder spent parts of eight seasons in the majors. The 1981 Topps set is the last before Fleer and Donruss broke Topps' licensing monopoly, making it the final year of a single-brand baseball market.
